Genting Trip

A little trip that we planned for relaxation~~~

A total of 6 of us, namely I, Kim Mei, Jason, William, Dwayne and Angus, went to Genting for an overnight stay!! Well, none of them wanted to go to the theme park, what they mainly wanted was to go there and stone, so, I got us a room at Awana, which was pretty satisfying, except that it was not cold enough, other then our freezing cold air-conditioned room. =P

We had to catch the morning bus at 10am. Kim Mei came over to park her car at my place. When she arrived, I was still running around getting my stuff (sorry Kim Mei :S), and we left together after that. Everyone was surprisingly early, when we got there, William and Angus already arrived but were no where to be seen (they went pak toh somewhere) and we only saw Dwayne sitting there talking to some people from our college (don't know who they are though) that were going to Genting as well. So, we just sat around, wait wait wait, and finally we could get on the bus!!! =D

It was an hour journey to reach the Sky Way station. When we arrived there we started looking for the bus stop to get our shuttle to Awana. We almost got conned by some of the taxi drivers who said that we have to wait for a long time and called us to pay RM15 to take their cab. But, thank goodness we did not listen, after all we weren't in a rush, and this trip is pretty much a budget trip, so we just decided to wait. And not long later, the bus came!! hehehe~~~

Got on the bus, got our ride to Awana, and went to check-in. This is my first time checking in using my name, hahaha (I wonder is my age even legal to check-in a hotel......), but it was not that hard, just have to sign a few papers and hand over the money (sadly I don't have a credit card T.T).

After settling ourselves down and resting for awhile, we went to catch the shuttle up to Genting. The journey wasn't that long, can't remember the exact duration though. When we reached up there, LUNCH TIME!!!! hungry........ We scouted around to look for cheap restaurants, but knowing Genting, nothing is cheap. We came up with lots of ideas as well, such as steamboat, buffet, etc. and were pretty enthusiastic about them. But at the end of the day, nothing came true.... @~@

Eventually, we decided on some hainanese restaurant, where everything on the menu was above RM10. So, I just had some hainanese noodle, tasted fine, but it was cold (what on earth).

After meal, we wanted to go to the indoor theme park, wanted to play a few rides, but the ticket was RM26!!!! No way am I going to pay that price for a few puny rides, no!!! Ended up at the arcade, played some games, won some tickets, and exchanged some keychains..... It would be alot cheaper just buying those keychains, hahaha.

Scouted for a Starbucks after that to just sit and chill (money fly away~~~). We found one and sat there for hours, sadly there weren't any sofas around, just chairs...... I started to stone when we sat down, getting a little tired, enjoying the cold weather as it was raining then, hardly slept the night before as well. Haha, the first stoner of the day!! XD After sitting down and chatting for awhile, we got up and start walking.

But not long later, we thought about heading back to the hotel to chill instead, as there were not much to do at Genitng anyway. So, took shuttle back!!!! While waiting:

As soon as we reached our room, BED!!!! We were waiting for dinner time, so we just sat around, watch tv, and guess what, they were airing Happy Feet......... since morning........ when we arrived....... *sweat*

Time to be Specky!!!

We went down and ate at a hotel restaurant. The food was pretty good, and considered affordable for Genting standards, and moreover it's a restaurant, at a hotel, not bad I would say.

At night, we played cards and chatted, and had a live-band sing-a-long most of the time (Dwayne brought his guitar), watched abit of tv as well, i was supposed to catch Ghost Whisperer, but with all the commotion in the room, I could hardly concentrate >.<

Next Day~~~

We woke up early and gave up sleeping around 9am. Jason and Dwayne took the complementary buffet breakfast and went down to eat (there were only two), and the rest of us, cup noodle~~~ such healthy breakfast, hahaha. We sat at the balcony and ate, really fun actually, and there was a rainbow!!! William felt utterly contented, nice weather, a cup noodle in his hands, and a rainbow for a view, so blissful~~~

Jason and Dwayne came back with some da bao for us, some cupcakes that they managed to smuggle back, haha, thank you!!! Dwayne had nose bleed all of a sudden O.o!! Thanks to William's seduction....... (William, stay away from Dwayne) When the nose bleed stopped, just a touch from William, and here it comes again XD (It's actually because of some sinus medicine they gave him, don't know why it works that way)

We checked out around 12pm and went back up to Genting, this time sitting cable car!! ^^ (after all it's free, complimentary to hotel guests)

We wanted to go for karaoke, as we had vouchers, but apparently we can't use it on eve of public holiday =.= (didn't realise the next day was a holiday). Never mind, we still had bowling, buy 1 free 1 game. We went for lunch before playing, had some Bak Kut Teh Mee Suah, and went to the bowling alley after that. All 6 of us played, and I'm getting really rusty..... not that I'm good to begin with, but at least I didn't get longkang so many times back then.

After that, nothing else to do, went outside to burn time, sat beside the road to enjoy the weather. Dwayne took out his guitar, placed his guitar bag in front, and RM5 went in....... Road Side Performance people!!!! hahaha, the RM5 was from Angus, in hopes that it would trick some passer-by to throw in some cash, but, plan failed..... Well, it was worth a try =P

When it was time, we sat the cable car back down to catch our bus back to 1u. Slept all the way, so tired...... We had dinner together before we went home, and everything was so cheap~~~~

ahhhhhh, I miss home, where everything was cheaper and nicer ^^
