Inner Thoughts #2 : Love

Does loving a person means that you will be willing to give up everything in this world for the other? Your future, wealth, friends, family, and even life? Will there always be a price to pay for loving someone? There will never be a definite answer.......

Some people are willing to give up everything just to be with the one they love, which are most commonly seen in movies, but there are also some in reality. They would want nothing more than to be with their loved ones, even if it means leaving their family. No bargain in this world would ever break them apart, for their hearts are tied together in a dead knot, with locks and chains where the key has long been gone, trusted away to a place unknown by others, unable to be retrieved. They will live together, and die together, and the phrase 'till death do us apart' will never be applicable. They will go through hardship together, so will they go through triumph, and never will they be found in a place where only one exists.

Their whole life revolves around each other, creating sweet memories that would last a life time, and they would not care less if the world turns against them, for as long as both exist, deeply in love with one another, that is more than sufficient. The world might crumble around them, but in their eyes they only have each other, and hand in hand, they would be able to go through anything. Love is everything, losing it, means losing their life........

But for others, where love is not everything, will see that as a foolish thought, irrational they might say. For these 'others', they want nothing more than freedom, to be able to do as they wish, not limited by others. Having someone in their life would be an addition, an addition to give them happiness, an addition that will last with them for the rest of their life, but never an addition to control them. They would be delighted to have someone in their life, to care, to cherish, to love them, and they would, in return, love them with all their heart.

These people are often mistaken to be heartless, selfish, atrocious, as they will not compromise when being told go against their will, being stubborn as stubborn may be, unwilling to change. Though they might try, and some would succeed, while others would fail, but doing something you do not want, is not that forcing, lying to yourself? But why would they end up with someone who is the total opposite of what they are, they who are so carefree, allowing the other to do as they wish, while the other controls, not allowing them to do what they desire. Maybe that is where the term 'opposites attract' comes into the picture. But it indeed is suffering, do not you think, when their interest are at ends?

It's just hard to know what you want, you want someone who thinks of you as the most precious thing in their life, unable to lose you for anything in this world, but when the person clings on too much, you suffocate. On the other hand, if the person loves you enough just to be there for you, allowing you to do as you wish, not minding even if you attempted suicide as long as you are safe at the end of the day, you think that that person does not love you enough....... Maybe a mixture of both, treating you as their most precious and would not compromise for anything else but you, and at the same time would give you your freedom and allow you to do as you wish as long as they know that you are safe?

Well, maybe...........
